SATI provides 40 hours of training to build the critical framework for Tribal Sexual Assault Advocates to effectively and appropriately respond to sexual Assault victims in their communities. Empower yourself to address sexual violence in Tribal communities through:
-Historical context and foundational advocacy skills
-Trauma-informed safety planning and survivor-centered care
-Supporting diverse survivors with cultural humility
-Confidentiality best practices and the role of forensic exams
Interactive learning:
-Engaging discussions and scenario-based exercises
-Storytelling and creative handwork rooted in culture
-Building connections with other advocates to strengthen community impact
-This training will also prepare tribal advocates for seeking domestic violence advocacy certification and is the only training of its kind that includes relevant information that addresses tribal and federal responses.
