Webinar #1 – First in a Series of Three Webinars Offered by the Tribal Law & Policy Institute.
In this first webinar, participants will receive information about the crimes of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking as they occur in tribal communities. Presenter will discuss root causes of these crimes, why they occur, the impact of these crimes on victims, and the challenges and struggles faced by victims and those impacted as seen through the eyes of an advocate.

This webinar will lay the foundation for the subsequent webinars that will focus closely on the legal needs of victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking as they occur in tribal communities.

This will be the first in a series on Victim Advocacy topics. Upcoming Victim Advocacy webinars will cover:
· Walking in the Shoes of Victims from Tribal Communities: Needs of Victims of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Dating Violence and Stalking
